Inpatient Psychiatric Services

Centegra Health System provides inpatient psychiatric services to people at risk of harm to themselves or harm to others or those who are unable to care for themselves. Assessments are provided through our Crisis Services.


This 34-bed unit serves adults 18 years and older. Adults participating in this intensive level of treatment receive 24-hour care in a safe, comfortable and structured setting. The adult behavioral health unit offers a wide array of services including for various psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder.  Some of the available services are:

  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Psychiatric evaluation and psychopharmacologic treatment interventions
  • Education related to medication and managing psychiatric conditions

The treatment team includes:

  • Patient and their identified support (i.e. family, spouse or friend)
  • Psycho Social Coordinator (Social Services/Discharge Planning)
  • Psychiatrist/Nurse Practitioner (Assess and develops a plan with the patient)
  • Nurses
  • Counselors

  • Visiting hours
    • Two visitors per patient are allowed on the unit at one time. Visitors will be asked to leave coats, purses, phones, cigarettes, lighters and other items with security while on the unit.
      • Monday–Friday: 7–8pm
      • Weekends and holidays: 2–4pm and 7–8pm
