Centegra Hospital-McHenry has received designations as a UnitedHealth Premium specialty center for interventional cardiac care and for rhythm management.
The UnitedHealth Premium specialty center program is designed to help consumers make more informed choices as they select facilities that are designated for providing quality and cost-efficient health care.
“To achieve this designation our cardiovascular services team met rigorous criteria that are based on nationally recognized medical standards and national expert advice,” said Rachel Sebastian, vice president and site administrator at Centegra Hospital-McHenry.
Centegra’s cardiac care designation is based on the high-quality heart care available in Centegra Hospital-McHenry’s emergency department and in Centegra’s cardiac catheterization laboratories. The cardiac rhythm management program includes implantation of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators.
Both designations are also accompanied by recognition for higher cost efficiency for the reviewed cardiac care episodes when compared to similar episodes in UnitedHealth’s local market peer group.
“This recognition from UnitedHealthcare reflects our team’s dedication to providing state-of-the-art services in the most cost-efficient manner,” Sebastian said. “Our team consistently achieves outstanding outcomes.”
