Karen Carson says:

Dr. Harpreet Basran is a Wonderful Doctor! Before I could even tell him where the pain was on my knee, Dr. Basran took one look and told me I had a torn meniscus – the MRI confirmed it. At my age (62) I was concerned about having surgery, but Dr. Basran took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Dr. Basran is a very pleasant person and very skilled in his profession. He even showed me a video of my meniscus tear and repair. My job is very physically challenging – I am back to work and my knee is doing fine! I Highly Recommend Dr. Harpreet Basran! Thank You So Much Dr. Basran!!!

Jill Benedeck says:

Dr. Basran, Thank you so much for your prompt attention to my concern with my tendon and for referring me in such a timely manner so I can get this fixed quickly. You are an amazing doctor, a great listener and explainer, and the doctors at Northwestern think very highly of you as well!

Kathy Biron says:

Good evening Dr. Basran,

I can’t thank you enough for your professionalism and patient-centered care from the time I met you in the office all the way up to the day of surgery in McHenry.

My surgery on my fibula was yesterday and so far so good. I had never broken anything so I wasn’t certain what to expect. I appreciated the detail.

Looking forward to my follow up appointment on July 11th.

I will recommend you to everyone!!

Thank you again!
I’m most appreciative.

Warm regards,
Kathy Biron

Dr. Basran, I wanted to thank you for fixing my damaged cartilage in my ankle. It literally saved my firefighting career and I can now walk and jump without pain! My ankle finally feels normal again. You were definitely right about doing the surgery. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Jennifer Francissen says:

Went to see Dr. Basran with a broken ankle. Took some updated x-rays to confirm and schedule me for surgery 2 weeks later. Was a little scared, but he reassured me it is what needed to be done and everything will be fine. Came to see me in pre-op to make sure I didn’t have any more questions or worries. The very next evening he called me personally to see how I was doing. I instantly felt even better knowing that he took his personal time to check on me to see how I felt and make sure at this point I didn’t have any more questions and to call him if I did before my post-op appointment. What a wonderful doctor and would recommend him to anyone.

Julie Keppler says:

Dr. Basran,
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for fixing my rotator cuff and bicep a few weeks ago. I know that this is a long journey to completely recover but you have made this process much more tolerable. You have answered all my questions and are never too busy to respond to me in a quick manner. I cannot wait to get back to working out and test out my new shoulder…You and your staff have exceeded my expectations!

Amanda Wilkins says:

Dr. B, You are an amazing doctor. You fixed my shoulder (rotator/bicep), giving me back movement without pain. When I had a horrible accident on skates, you fixed my leg! I am forever grateful for what you’ve done for me. I appreciate your knowledge and respect your abilities. You always go above and beyond, calling at home after surgery, following up with every question or concern, and exploring every treatment option thoroughly. Thanks very much, and happy Doctors’ Week!

Cheryl Hermansen says:

Margaret (Maggi) Hansen says:

I want to say thank you for fixing my ankle. I broke my ankle 2 years ago and you performed my surgery. You told me that I have a lot more life in me and that we should do the surgery. Well two years later, I’m so thankful for the wonderful job you did. My ankle feels great, I can run, stand for ever, work in my garden, and still wear high heels (but not to high ). Thank you for your patience with me. I totally feel like myself as if I never had the surgery. Thank you, thank you Happy Doctor’s week your the best
