This four-week series is designed to prepare you and your support person for the birth of your baby at NorthWestern facilities. It is recommended to take the class between the sixth to eighth months of the pregnancy. Class includes a tour of the unit. Topics include: Labor and vaginal delivery, pain management ( pain medication/ epidurals), variations in labor, Cesarean birth, normal newborn, basic baby care, a pediatrician Q & A, and car seat safety.
Taught by a certified childbirth educator.
Light snack provided. Please feel free to bring your own food and drink, we know it is hard to fit the classes into busy work and life schedules!
This is not a Lamaze or Bradley style birthing class.
