Leadership Development: Putting Others First
Centegra’s culture centers on servant leadership: Our highest priority needs are met first, which enables them to exceed the expectations of our patients. We invest in our leaders by providing extensive leadership development programs. These programs focus on topics like enhancing communication skills, building trust, leading with integrity, team building, organizational development, strategic planning and financial growth.
Leadership Greater McHenry County
The development of our leadership team doesn’t end with internal development. We also sponsor eligible leaders to participate in the nine-month Leadership Greater McHenry County program (LGMC). LGMC focuses on developing leaders who are committed to making a difference in our community.
The DiSC Model provides a common language that Associates can use to better understand themselves and to adapt their behaviors with others. Our Associates learn how different styles respond to conflict; what motivates and causes stress for different styles; as well as problem solving preferences. This course helps Associates increase self-knowledge and knowledge of others enhancing better relationships and teamwork.
Conflict in the workplace is a natural occurrence because we all have different Human Dynamics. Crucial Conversations training teaches our Associates how to get “unstuck” using best practice skills for high-stakes interactions, allowing our Associates to move past the conflict and to the resolution. These skills help our teams stay focused on our patients who are our top priority.
As a learning organization, Centegra believes in training and nurturing our Associates to grow personally and professionally. In an effort to provide Associates the opportunity to pursue professional development, we offer educational assistance to eligible part-time and full-time Associates, with 100% advance payment for eligible education.
