STAR Guided Patient Services Program

GPS class provides path for people with cancerSTAR-Program-Registered-Logo_2012_final_rgb

Centegra Health System’s Guided Patient Services (GPS) class provides information about services that help people with cancer and their families throughout cancer treatment.

People who are newly diagnosed are encouraged to attend the class to learn about the Centegra Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation (STAR) Program®. This program improves the lives of cancer survivors by addressing the side effects caused by cancer care.

The GPS class introduces Centegra STAR Program® clinicians as they explain how individual treatment plans are developed. Patients also complete assessments that help the Centegra team develop their personalized plans of care and meet their treatment needs. The free class is offered two times a month at the Centegra Sage Cancer Center Gavers Library, 4305 Medical Center Drive in McHenry:

  • 10 to 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of the month
  • 6:30 to 8 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month

To register for the GPS class or for more information about the Centegra STAR Program®, call the program coordinator at 815-759-4870.
