Centegra Health System’s Respiratory Care Department provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients of all ages who have cardiopulmonary illnesses and diseases. Our highly skilled staff provides evaluation, treatment, and education about managing a range of conditions, including:

Some cardiopulmonary or lung disorders may be sudden and severe, and others may be long-term conditions that require medical supervision. We optimize your care by tailoring it to your personal needs.

The Respiratory Care Department is available 24 hours a day. We also treat people who have had surgery and are intimately involved with helping you receive ventilator support.

Respiratory Tests and Procedures

Your physician may order pulmonary diagnostic tests to diagnose or treat your lung condition. Respiratory tests offered at Centegra’s Respiratory Care Department include:

  • Arterial Blood Gas Analysis (ABG)
  • Basic Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
  • Basic Pulmonary Function Test with bronchodilator
  • Complete Pulmonary Function Test (includes lung volumes and diffusion study)
  • Complete Pulmonary Function Test with bronchodilator
  • Methacholine Challenge Test (bronchial provocation)
