Area residents are invited to take a K-9 companion to a community dog walk to support the Centegra Gavers Breast Center. The walk is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 and the course is just less than two miles on even terrain at Horse Fair Park in Spring Grove. There also will be vendors and snacks available the day of the event.
Registration includes a goody bag and bandana for all walkers. The first 100 registered walkers also will receive a t-shirt. Registration fees start at $15 for one person and one dog or $30 for a family and one dog. Walkers may bring up to two dogs. There is an additional $5 fee to bring a second dog.
