Neurologist to teach community members how to decrease stroke risk factors
HUNTLEY – Centegra Physician Care neurologist Dr. Timothy Upchurch will help community members understand their risk for stroke at a free lecture from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Rd. Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States and it can happen to anyone at any age. Upchurch will talk about which risk factors for stroke are controllable. He will also teach people how to spot the symptoms of a stroke because rapid treatment is very important. Upchurch will share ways to live a healthier life to decrease the chance a stroke and its debilitating effects will occur.
