CRYSTAL LAKE – As Centegra Health System continues to grow, new leadership roles will benefit the community and Centegra Associates in a number of ways. Jason Sciarro was named President and Chief Operating Officer for Centegra Health System July 12. Michael S. Eesley will remain Centegra’s Chief Executive Officer.
Primarily, Eesley will become more active in state, regional and national healthcare policies through related associations and lobbying efforts. He also will continue to lead the system’s growth, innovation and long-term strategic planning and development as the health system evolves in preparation of healthcare reform.
Sciarro will report to Eesley and lead the growth and day-to-day operations of Centegra’s three hospitals, multiple outpatient care centers and the large employed physician group Centegra Primary Care. Sciarro will focus on continued process improvements to deliver efficient and cost effective healthcare for the McHenry County area and concentrate on quality indicators to ensure leading edge clinical outcomes. In addition, he will help advance Centegra Primary Care to meet the needed services of the growing community.
Sciarro joined Centegra Health System in October of 2005 as Senior Vice President for Ambulatory Services before being promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in October of 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Geneva College 1992 and a Masters of Business Administration from LeMoyne College in 2000.
“As we continue to expand and enhance the provision of services to the communities we serve, it is essential that we look to our future,” said Mike Eesley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Centegra Health System. “I feel blessed to have an individual of Jason’s caliber in this position.”
