Centegra Health System will host several free health lectures in January and February. Community members are welcome to hear Centegra’s team approach to back issues as physicians speak about ways to avoid back pain and treatments for various back conditions. Learn the best ways to protect backs from injuries with Centegra Primary Care chiropractors Randy David and Mark Dowell as they teach about the spine and ways to prevent spinal stress. During this interactive event, participants will learn the safest ways to perform household chores and daily activities to avoid back strain.The physicians also will discuss musculoskeletal conditions, spinal conditions and conditions of the arms and legs. This free lecture, “Keeping Back Strain at Bay: Tips to Avoid Back Pain” will be conducted from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road. The lecture will also be conducted from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Crystal Lake, 200 E. Congress Parkway.Dr. William Tontz, Jr., a board-certified independent orthopaedic surgeon on the medical staff of Centegra Health System, will present “Oh My Aching Back and Legs! New Treatments for Relief” from 6:30 to 7:30p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road.
Those who are among the many Americans who experience dull or aching back pain that spreads to the legs or those who have been diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis or other nagging back conditions, are encouraged to attend.
