A free class for community members and Centegra associates will teach parents how to bully proof their children. The class is recommended for parents and children in grades five through eight. It will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road.
McHenry County Crisis Program staff members will teach the class. They will inform parents how to help their children when bullying situations occur. They also will share the message that bullying is preventable and that education can prevent children from becoming bullies.
Attendees will learn practical techniques and have time to practice their new skills. Registration is required. To register, call the Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center concierge at 815-444-2900.
