Centegra Health System will host several free health lectures in February. Community members are welcome to hear physicians speak about minimally invasive hysterectomies, new advances in fertility, as well as help for general female problems. Women who may need hysterectomies now have an alternative to the major surgery of the past. Learn how laparoscopic hysterectomy offers women less pain, a faster recovery time and a smaller scar. Two Centegra Primary Care physicians in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Dudley Brown, Jr., and Dr. Alissa Erogbogbo, will present a free lecture, “Minimally Invasive Hysterectomies” from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road.
Those who have questions about infertility may hear from Dr. Todd Deutch, a board-certified physician who specializes in reproductive endocrinology during a free lecture, “New Horizons in Fertility.” Deutch will discuss the causes and new advances in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. He will also address what to expect when visiting a fertility specialist and how to obtain cost-effective fertility treatments.
The lecture will be conducted from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road.Dr. Mark Parra, a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist with Centegra Primary Care, will address problems that affect many women, such as incontinence, fibroids and heavy periods, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road. Parra will also discuss the benefits of minimally-invasive surgeries that improve or cure these conditions.
