MCHENRY – Is your Medicare Prescription Drug Plan going to cover your prescription drugs in 2011? Are your out-of-pocket costs going to increase? Will you need pre-authorization for your medications?
These are the questions Medicare beneficiaries should be asking during the Medicare D annual enrollment period through Dec. 31.
Centegra Health System can help answer these questions. Centegra’s Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) counselors will host a Medicare Part D enrollment event. The counselors will be available to assist Medicare beneficiaries in evaluating their Medicare Part D Plan and to enroll them in a new plan if requested. SHIP counselors offer unbiased advise, free of charge.
“Medicare beneficiaries may be able to save money by finding a plan that better fits their needs in 2011. Our counselors can help them determine what prescriptions are covered under different plans and what their deductible and co-payments will be,” said Bonnie Saban, manager of Centegra volunteer services and coordinator of Centegra’s senior health insurance program.
Centegra’s SHIP counselors will be available by appointment only at the following times and locations:
8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 4 and 11 at Centegra Hospital-McHenry located at 4201 Medical Center Drive in McHenry.
