The orthopedic and neurosurgical service teams and physicians at Centegra Hospital-McHenry and Centegra Hospital-Woodstock were recently honored for their reliability and better outcomes in delivering spine surgery services, by being named Blue Distinction Centers for spine surgery. This distinction, which is given by BlueCross BlueShield Association, adds Centegra to the small list of Illinois providers who are considered the best providers for spine surgery.
”Centegra Health System has a top-notch spinal surgery program,” said Rachel Sebastian, vice president of service line operations. “Our continuum of care begins with the best surgeons and surgical teams and continues through outstanding inpatient care and physical therapy. We congratulate our physicians and Associates on this exciting distinction.” Centegra Hospital-Woodstock also has Blue Distinction for total joint replacement surgery and bariatric surgery and Centegra Hospital-McHenry also has Blue Distinction for total joint replacement surgery.”
As we develop our services to meet the needs of our patients in greater McHenry and Kane Counties, we put a heavy emphasis on slowly building high-quality programs,” Sebastian said. “Through the years, Centegra has developed a reputation for bringing leading-edge technologies and procedures to the far Northwestern suburbs. We are so proud to deliver compassionate and excellent care close to our patients’ homes.” To be named a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgery, both Centegra hospitals demonstrated experience in offering comprehensive inpatient spine surgery services, including discectomy, fusion and decompression procedures. The hospitals also submitted clinical data to show they meet objective, evidence-based thresholds for clinical quality.
