Woodstock–Centegra Health System recently presented Suzanne Hoban, MPH, of the Family Health Partnership Clinic with the Centegra Community Leader of the Year Award.
The Centegra Community Leader of the Year Award is given to individuals who have demonstrated service on a broad scale that has resulted in improvements and contributions in the realm of community service and overall community health. The award was developed to recognize the achievements of an individual leader living in our local community who demonstrates the attributes of servant leadership, especially in the area of community service.
Ms. Hoban, who is the Executive Director of the Family Health Partnership Clinic in Woodstock, was presented with the honor for her dedication and willingness to lead and grow the clinic’s team to provide the area’s underprivileged with healthcare.
“Centegra Health System not only works to provide the best healthcare possible, but we also want to lead by example. Our organization is deeply rooted in providing a servant leadership atmosphere for our Associates and we want to honor those organizations and people who demonstrate the same principles,” Michael S. Eesley, Centegra Health System President and CEO, said.
The Family Health Partnership Clinic provides quality health care to the residents of McHenry County. It operates with a committed group of volunteer physicians and dedicated staff who work hard to improve the health of those in the community by providing services to everyone regardless of their ability to pay.
The clinic has been in existence since 1996 and in 2001, the clinic provided over $700,000 of medical services (excluding pharmaceuticals) to its patients. The clinic is funded through private grants, foundations and community fundraising.
“We at Centegra believe the work of the Family Health Partnership Clinic is vital to improving the health status of our community and we are strongly support the work of Suzanne and the clinic,” Eesley, said.
The award is presented each year at Centegra’s annual corporate meeting which is held in February. Last year’s recipient was Senator Richard Klemm of Crystal Lake.
