The Centegra Health System Auxiliary is a group of local residents who play a meaningful role in providing key essential links to our community. A committee of the Centegra Health System Foundation, the Auxiliary has an essential role in helping the health system fulfill its mission and vision. With a rich, valued history in the community, Auxiliary volunteers support fundraising activities and events. Through their many endeavors, the Auxiliary has raised money for a wide variety of needs, funding everything from patient transport services to the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment.
Another way the Centegra Health System Auxiliary cares for the community is through its robust health care scholarship program. The Auxiliary awards scholarships to individuals who are pursuing careers in health care as well as those who are expanding their current health care roles.
The Audrey Ballard Nursing Scholarship is one example of this. Made possible through the generosity of Audrey Ballard, a Woodstock native and a nurse of 48 years, individuals who receive the Audrey Ballard Nursing scholarship are high school graduates who are pursuing nursing education. Scholarship funds go directly to the school designated and are used toward tuition, fees or books. To apply for this once-a-year scholarship, please fill out the Audrey Ballard Nursing Scholarship application or call 847-802-7085 if you have questions.
As the health care landscape continues to change, so does the Auxiliary. Centegra Health System is fortunate to have this group of volunteers and knows the Auxiliary will continue to play a dynamic role in the health of our community. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Centegra Health System Auxiliary or have any other questions, please call 847-802-7085 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
