Speaker: Valerie Keller, RN, IBCLC, Lactation Consultant
The caring nurses at The Centegra Breastfeeding Resource Center are proud to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week with the women of greater McHenry and Kane counties.I work with a team of professionals to support breastfeeding women and their babies. At Centegra we offer support groups at both hospital locations. My colleagues and I answer questions, help moms make product choices and provide clinical support when it is needed. Our center is located on the ground floor of Centegra Hospital-Woodstock and is pround to celebrate our fist year of service in our community. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends exclusive breastfeeding for six months and continued breastfeeding for the rest of the first year and beyond to help babies fully develop. Research also shows the longer a baby breastfeeds, both the baby and mom are healthier. The Centegra Breastfeeding Resource Center serves all new moms in the community. We provide private consultations to promote healthy mothers and healthy babies. For more information or to schedule a consultation, call 877-CENTEGRA.
