Speaker: Joanne Knapik, Physician
Bedwetting is a common concern among children ages 4 to 16. Joanne Knapik, MD, of Centegra Primary Care says that 15 to 20 percent of children suffer from this condition, and it is three times more common among boys. Often, a child’s bladder is not fully developed or the child is not yet able to recognize when his bladder is full. Dr. Knapik lists causes and suggests short-term solutions. She also recommends that families talk to their pediatricians or family doctors about bedwetting.
