Jan. 1 marks the fifth anniversary of the Smoke-Free Illinois Act, the law which made it easier to breathe indoors by making all work places like warehouses, factories, cabs, restaurants, bars and casinos smoke-free.

Thanks to this law, Illinois residents are healthier. Illinois did its part, now it’s your turn. If you are interested you may call the Illinois Tobacco Quitline and quit smoking for good. The Illinois Tobacco Quitline has counselors available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, with interpretation in more than 150 languages. Nicotine patches, gum or lozenges are available to those who qualify.
