The Centegra Kids in Motion program is a unique class designed to help children and their families lead a healthier, more active lifestyle. This program is lead by registered dieticians, personal trainers and behavioral health specialists working together to offer education and support to lead a healthier lifestyle through nutrition education, behavioral therapy and physical activity. Children ages 8 – 13 are welcome.
The Centegra Kids in Motion program is an interactive, fun and effective 8-week course for the whole family. Parents participate in 8 educational classes where they will learn how to:
- Make healthier meals
- Choose more nutritious foods
- Eat on a budget
- Family eating principles and challenges
Children will participate in 8 classes that blend nutrition, education and activities, helping them to learn:
- How to choose healthier foods
- What a healthy snack is
- Fun topics such as “Go Slow, Whoa” foods, “Avoid the Alligators” supersizing and more!
Parents and children over 12 may enjoy use of the facility prior to the class. Daycare is provided for children in the family under the age of 12.
Cost: $149.00 per child. Scholarships are available to those who qualify.
Classes are held every Tuesday, January 14 thru March 4 from 6:30 – 7:30pm at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Crystal Lake.
