The Centegra Kids in Motion program is a unique class designed to help children and their families lead a healthier, more active lifestyle.
This program is led by registered dietitians, personal trainers and behavioral health specialists working together to offer education and support towards a healthier lifestyle through nutrition education, behavioral therapy and physical activity. Children ages 8 – 13 are welcome.
The Centegra Kids in Motion program is an interactive, fun and effective 8-week course for the whole family.
Parents participate in 8 educational classes where they will learn how to:
- Make healthier meals
- Choose more nutritious foods
- Eat on a budget
- Family eating principles and challenges
Children will participate in 8 classes that blend nutrition, education and activities, helping them to learn:
- How to choose healthier foods
- What a healthy snack is
- Fun topics such as “Go Slow, Whoa” foods, “Avoid the Alligators” supersizing and more!
Parents and children over 12 may enjoy use of the facility prior (5:30-6:30pm) to the class.
Daycare is provided for children in the family under the age of 12.
Cost: $149.00 per child. Scholarships are available to those who qualify.
Classes are held every Thursday starting, April 9th – May 28th 2015 from 6:30 – 7:30pm at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center – Huntley.
