Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake is located 50 miles northwest of Chicago, a short drive from O'Hare International Airport, near several major highways and interstates. The Metra rail line provides easy access to Chicago with two train stops in Crystal Lake.
Residents here enjoy the cultural, recreational and employment opportunities of a major metropolitan city, yet live in a pleasant, friendly, small-town atmosphere. The population has grown from 14,000 in the early 1970's to more than 38,000 today.
The local job market is expanding rapidly. Citizens have access to excellent educational resources. Crystal Lake boasts two of the very best public school systems in the region - Elementary School District 47 and Community High School District 155. Citizens are also served by parochial grade schools and McHenry County College located on Crystal Lake's northern border.
Crystal Lake is truly a great place to live, work and play. One of Crystal Lake's greatest attractions is its public parks system. The park district sponsors many recreational programs and maintains much open space.
Huntley
The Village of Huntley is located along the "golden" I-90 Corridor approximately 45 minutes west of the Chicago Loop and 30 minutes west of O’Hare International Airport. Neighboring communities include Crystal Lake and Lakewood to the northeast, Lake in the Hills and Algonquin to the east, Gilberts to the southeast, Hampshire to the southwest, Marengo and Union to the west and Woodstock to the north.
Huntley covers 13.4 square miles and currently has an estimated population of 23,000 (based on building permits). Since 2000, the Village of Huntley has issued more than 7,300 residential building permits for new homes. The 2005 Special Census reported the Village's population at 16,719, with a predicted population growth to 44,000 by year 2030.
McHenry
Located in the heart of the Fox River Valley, just 50 miles northwest of Chicago, McHenry offers small-town charm in one of Illinois' fastest growing counties. The city of McHenry is a diverse community providing a variety of housing, employment options and numerous recreational activities.
