How does Centegra Health System Recognize Its Nurses?

Centegra Health System recognizes how important our nursing partners are in providing quality patient care to the McHenry County community. To acknowledge and honor the outstanding service of our nurses, recognition events are planned annually during Nurse's Week.

Nurse's Week Celebration

During Nurse’s Week, healthy snacks are delivered daily to each nurse in celebration of their amazing efforts year-round. Also included were a tea, a breakfast, a CPR Challenge, massages and makeovers and more!

Each nurse was also presented with a Nursing Exemplar Book, called, "The Heart of Nursing, A Nurse’s Journey" written entirely by Centegra Health System nurses.

Chief Nursing Officers wrote as a prelude to the book, "Nursing is an honorable and noble profession. Nurses have the ability to influence in ways they may never fully realize. These stories written by nurses of Centegra Health System are a celebration and affirmation of why we chose this noble profession. It is our hope that as you read these stories, you are reconnected to the reason you became a nurse. We hope these stories bring you closer to your purpose, fill you with joy, strength and courage to continue your compassionate caring."
