Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation since 1991.
Make Healthy Life Changes
Since 1986, Centegra's nationally certified Cardiac Rehabilitation programs have been helping cardiac patients heal. Hundreds of people each week work successfully to build strength, reduce stress and return to physical and emotional health after a heart attack or surgery.
What is Cardiac Rehabilitation?
The three-phase Centegra Cardiac Rehabilitation program is designed to help the participant achieve the maximum level of physical and psychological recovery. Our program offers a positive, progressive approach to optimum recovery in a safe, monitored environment.
Phase I - Inpatient
Phase I is inpatient program for individuals recovering from open-heart surgery. An interdisciplinary team that specializes in cardiac care will develop an individualized exercise, education, and counseling program for each patient to help coordinate the recovery process.
Phase II - Early Outpatient Program
This is a 12-week outpatient program focused on an individualized exercise program. Cardiac Rehabilitation participants attend 60-minute exercise sessions three times a week for the duration of the program. Throughout each exercise session, heart rates, heart rhythm and blood pressure are closely monitored. Cardiac Rehabilitation clinicians supervise every exercise session and report each participant's progress to his or her physician. Formal education classes are provided and individual nutrition and behavior counseling are also available.
Phase III - Maintenance Program
This program is available for individuals who have completed the Phase II program or have been previously diagnosed with heart problems. All Phase III participants work independently under the supervision of the Cardiac Rehabilitation team.
Entrance into any of the three phases of Cardiac Rehabilitation requires a referral by the participant's physician and a recent exercise stress test or deferral is required for Phase II or Phase III enrollment.
