Never have I been more frightened than when I received my breast cancer diagnosis on Pearl Harbor day (2011). And never have I been more grateful than to have such a thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor! Petrified at every step, and with every new and ugly discovery, I was so blessed to have someone to listen to me with both ears and hear the terror that resided within me. You give not only your time and your skills and expertise, but you also give your heart — you understand only too well the diagnosis and the disease that is every woman’s nightmare. And you grant every patient the dignity of feeling as though she was the one able to make the decisions surrounding the destruction (within) that cancer wreaks. The physical, fiscal, and mental devastation are mere footnotes to the emotional shattering that accompanies the word “mastectomy.” Your generosity of spirit and your kindness are what have given me the ability to actually believe I can have “a life” after all of this is over and have allowed me to make informed decisions along each step of this terrible (and terrifying) journey. There are no words that are “enough” to thank you for your reassuring, calm demeanor that allowed me to navigate the overwhelming emotions associated with my deadly diagnosis and with the permanent disfigurement which accompanied this disease. I am cancer free (99.8% sure) today because of your care and your commitment to my health. The President of this country could have received no better treatment than I did, nor could he have ever found such a skilled surgeon who carries such compassion within. Thank you so very much for every moment you spent with me, and in discussions about me, and my health. I don’t know what I would have done without your kind, caring and skilled attention.

You are lucky to have this wonderful physician on staff. He is the most knowledeable and capable MD I’ve seen in all my life. He shows compassion and he listened to all of us in the family as he explained the serious illness of my sister. It is hard to describe how comfortable he made us all feel. It’s a rare combination to have such medical skill and such personal connection. We knew we were capable hands, and that means so much when your family member is ill. He is our family’s favorite doctor among many.

Dr Martinez has only been my phy7sician nsince I moved up here from Denver Colorado. Appears to be a very caring and understanding. When I 1st meant with the Dr, all my medical records from Denver were still not here but he was great in understanding most of my medical needs and wants. I have a very major ungoing medical condition which requires major understanding on his part and he has been totally understanding to my cronic condition. To bad all Drs. can’t be as caring and understanding as he is . Hes great in my book.

I know now the difference between a good doctor and a great doctor is after seeing Dr. Rubio! She was extremely patient and took a lot of time. Most of all, she really listened and cared.

I love the way she takes the time to talk to my kids, rather than to me, about them, like they’re not in the room. I highly recommend her to any new mom!

From the very first visit to each and everyone after……. Dr. Ahmed, takes time with her patients, she really listen’s to you. She explains to you in depth so you will understand and will not let you walk out the door until you understand everything. Honestly words cannot express how wonderful she is………Dr Ahmed cares about her patients and when she says she is going to do something, she does it. If I could go to Dr Ahmed for everything I would.
Again I cannot express how much she means to me and my family. Dr Ahmed Thank you
