What is an exercise stress test?
This test will help your doctor see how well your heart works before, during and after exercise.
How is an exercise stress test done?
To make an appointment for a Cardiac Diagnostic Test, call
(815) 759.4050.
Small patches will be placed on your chest to monitor your heart rhythm. You will walk on a treadmill with an incline. The treadmill starts slowly with a small hill. Every three minutes the treadmill will increase in speed and incline until your target heart rate (calculated by staff) is reached or you are too tired to continue.
You will stay attached to the heart monitor until your blood pressure and pulse return to normal.
