What is a stress test?
A cardiac stress test is a test performed by a doctor and/or trained technician to determine the amount of stress your heart can manage before it develops an abnormal rhythm or evidence of ischemia. Ischemia takes place when there is not enough blood flow to the heart.
How many different types of stress tests are there?
There are a number of cardiac stress tests that Centegra Heart Center offers. They include:
