Centegra Health System salutes EMS providers

McHENRY – Centegra Health System recognizes the outstanding commitment that emergency medical personnel make on behalf of the McHenry County area and celebrates their dedication to safety and prevention.

“Quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury,” said Cindy Amore, Centegra Health System EMS manager and system coordinator. “During this week we honor and celebrate the local emergency medical technicians and paramedics, dispatchers and billers, supervisors and educators; everyone who helps make our EMS System run smoothly all year long,” she added.

The emergency medical services system consists of emergency physicians, emergency nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency medical dispatchers, firefighters, educators, administrators and others. They attended flight conferences and read thousands of ambulance reports to prove there were enough serious trauma and medical calls to justify having an on-site helicopter in McHenry County. In its 25 years in McHenry County, Flight For Life has safely flown 12,000 patients.Centegra Health System is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of the residents of greater McHenry County and to making services available in multiple and convenient locations, including hospitals in McHenry and Woodstock, Immediate and Primary Care centers, Centegra Sage Cancer Center, Health Bridge Fitness Centers and more.
