Centegra Health System achieved Magnet status in 2013 as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program. This is the highest honor an organization can receive for quality patient care and professional nursing practice.
Centegra Health System is just the second health system in Illinois to earn this prestigious recognition. This means all three of Centegra’s hospitals have achieved this advanced designation. Our patients will receive the same level of excellent nursing care at every Centegra hospital. Fewer than 400 hospitals in the world have achieved Magnet status.

All Star and Superstar Recognition Programs for Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Centers
Our All Star recognition allows everyone an opportunity to be recognized and appreciated on a weekly basis. Associates and members complete “I Made a Difference” cards to recognize those Associates who made a positive difference. On a monthly basis, our leaders nominate an Associate for a Superstar award for going above and beyond to serve our member(s). The Superstar not only receives recognition from his or her team but a gift and certificate, as well as their photo proudly displayed in a Superstar frame!
Social Responsibility: Centegra Gives Back
Our values of genuine respect, passionate caring and a joyful spirit mean that we care about giving back to our community and making it a better place to live. We take great pride in being socially responsible through a variety of spirited events and programs. Volunteer opportunities are offered system-wide on an ongoing basis and include participation at galas, festivals, golf outings, booster clubs, Kiwanis, art programs, chamber events, community events, supply drives, and toy drives just to name a few. Additionally, many of our departments band together to give back in their own ways, including community food drives, clothing drives, school drives, and participation at charity races and events.
Centegra also offers internal volunteer opportunities through our hospitals. For more information on volunteer opportunities at Centegra, contact our Volunteer Services Department at (815) 759-4334 (Centegra Hospital-McHenry) or (815) 334-3187 (Centegra Hospital-Woodstock).
