Healthcare Career Fair

Centegra Health System hosts an annual Healthcare Career Fair each fall. The fair features a variety of clinical healthcare careers that McHenry County’s 8th grade students will experience in a hands-on, simulated environment. This event is a great opportunity for Associates to showcase the rewarding and exciting careers in healthcare.

The students have an opportunity to talk 1st hand to Associates about their career in clinical areas including Nursing, Therapy, Respiratory and many other Healthcare professions of critical need. Centegra is passionate about educating our youth and committed to the future of the healthcare workforce.

Healthcare Career Exploration

Healthcare Career Exploration is a college credit course offered by McHenry County College. Classes take place at Centegra Health System facilities and all of the instructors are Centegra Associates.  HCE is a comprehensive course that seeks to investigate the health care delivery system, its services and occupations. Students will be exposed, through an exploratory approach, to an understanding of employment opportunity areas in the field of health and health services. Specific health careers will be investigated, including educational requirements, job skills requirements, earnings and advancement opportunities and job outlook for healthcare careers. Upon completion of this course, students will be better able to decide if they want to pursue a career in health professions.
