Why didn’t my insurance pay for some services?

Insurance policies vary on what services are covered under your plan. Consult with your employer and/or health insurance company directly to understand your coverage.

What if I disagree with how much my insurance paid on my bill?

Contact your insurance company directly. Be sure to note the representative you have spoken to. If an error has been made, request the insurance company provide you with an estimated date of when the correct payment will be received. If your insurance indicates the bill was paid correctly, request information about how to appeal the decision. An appeal will allow the payment to be reconsidered, however this is not a guarantee that payment will be made.

How quickly does my insurance plan pay?

Insurance claims are generally paid between four to six weeks from the date filed.

Can I still go to Centegra Health System if my insurance plan is out of network?

In cases of emergency, go to the nearest emergency room. Your insurance will generally cover the Emergency Department costs or will transfer you to an in-network hospital once you are stable. For outpatient services, you may be required to pay a larger out-of-pocket portion on your bill. To be sure, contact your insurance company directly to discuss.

Will I be able to view all my hospital bills on-line?

Yes, you will be able to view your hospital bills online.

Will I be able to view all my physician bills?

No, only your hospital bills are available.

What types of online payment methods can I use?

You can make your payment electronically by credit card, debit card or electronic check.

What credit cards does Centegra Health System accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Do I have the ability to print my statement and send it via the U.S. Postal Service or drop it off?

Yes, click on the PDF icon in the account summary area. Once the PDF is open use the toolbar at the top of the page to print the statement. Once printed, tear off the bottom portion and submit it along with your payment.
