By definition, a concussion is a traumatic brain injury that alters the way the brain functions. Concussions are caused by a blow to the head or upper body and can result in headaches, problems with concentration, judgment, memory and balance. Whether your child is at risk playing a sport or you are interested in learning more about concussions, join Barb Wasilk, program supervisor at Centegra Neuro-Rehabilitation Center, Julia Szot, Centegra Neuro-Rehabilitation Case Manager, and Melanie Korzuchowski, RN, Trauma Coordinator . They will discuss symptoms of concussions, ways to prevent head trauma and how to take care of someone who has suffered a concussion.
