Reducing Your Risk of Hyperthyroidism

There are no current guidelines to prevent hyperthyroidism.
Taking too much thyroid hormone replacement can also result in hyperthyroidism. Follow your treatment plan and get blood tests done regularly. In some cases, excess iodine intake, such as kelp supplements, may cause hyperthyroidism.
